Very little beyond the location in a quaint town
The hotel appeared disheveled, unkept and disorganized with the resident dog and his toys laying about the floor! The room was sparsely furnished, the wallpaper was peeling and the linens didn't fit the bed .... it was a very uncomfortable experience .... the website shows a luxurious pool and outdoor area which is far from true .... the staff with the exception of one woman were not very welcoming and accommodating .... this was not worth what we paid!

We had a fabulous time at the hotel. The proprietor and all staff was most helpful; very scenic area. One problem with the restaurant, though. I ordered scallops, (coquilles St. Jacques) and the waitress repeated the order, but I was served frog legs with soo many tiny bones as to make it almost unedible. I pointed out the error to the waitress, and she just said "sorry'. I think they should have rectified the mistale.

The Hotel is in a superb position. We stayed in the studio apartment for a week, which was very comfortable and was far better equipped than we had expected. We were able to be independent and cater for ourselves when we wanted, but had the hotel facilities easily available as well. The quality of food in the Restaurant was very good. There is a great deal to see and to do in the locality, and Beynac is a quaint and picturesque location. It's a steep climb to the castle, but well worth it!
The lighting was a little bit dark for reading by.

We were very pleasantly surprised - the hotel was much nicer than we had expected for such a reasonable room rate. The hotel is superbly located in the village - right beneath the castle and looking across to the river. (There's a free car park across the road, so no need to navigate narrow streets either!) The staff were all really friendly, the room was nice enough, clean and warm, and the restaurant was brilliant. (Massive portions and good selection. Good breakfasts too.) We stayed for three days and used the hotel as a base to explore the area - had a fabulous time and would thoroughly recommend anyone to stay there.
We thought the hotel was excellent.

Its location was amazing, short walk to the restaurant. Found a place called Le Donjon, set few metres away from the hotel, ate there a few times. Sensational breakfast with yoghurts and the staff were fairly friendly and excellent.

The setting was superb, right beside the Dordogne. The Chateau above the hotel was a real highlight along with the gardens at Murreasyac? amazing buxus huge garden.
The food/ menu could be more quality less quantity.

What a delightful place and great little hotel. Highly recommend the restaurant in the hotel - after eating there on the first night we did not eat anywhere else during our stay. Our room looked over the Dordogne River and up towards the chateau on the cliffs above.
